New Life Restoration Center
New Life Restoration Center is a non-profit Christian discipleship program established in 1990 and presently ministers to adult men and women ages 20 and up. The Center is a long-term residential facility supported by churches and interested individuals. Our primary purpose is to provide the opportunity for residents to develop a relationship with God and in turn become productive citizens free from addiction.
The Center helps men and women combat a wide range of life’s challenges. Most have a life-controlling problem (alcohol or drugs etc.) that prevents them from living succesfully. Residents have been referred from pastors, county court systems or state correctional facilities as an alternative to incarceration.
They receive Biblical counseling and practical skills instruction. Involvement in the local church is a primary component of the program, therefore church attendance is mandatory. The Center also believes a good work ethic is essential to becoming a productive citizen; residents are required to be employed at a local business somewhere within the community. This allows them to fulfill personal financial obligations and reestablish fiscal responsibility. Job placement is available according to skill and experience. Residents contribute a percentage of their earnings back into the program to offset a portion of the expenses incurred during their stay. Residents are provided with room, board and transportation to and from work for the duration of the program.
The program is twelve months long. The first phase takes place over a very sturctured seven months. The second phase (Accountability Program) is a five month phase that gives the residents more freedom in decision-making. The general routine includes morning Bible studies, Bible college correspondence courses, church attendance and local employment.
